CHANGNG CULTURE
Over the past 200 years Shetland has seen massive changes in its society. This space aims to build on our early foundations and look at the influences on Shetland and how those influences have been adapted. It will show how life was improved by social changes and new innovations. Society has changed with improvements in education, social care, law and order. This section will include Lerwick’s world-famous Up-Helly-Aa fire festival, which attracts hundreds of visitors every year.
