The Shetland Museum and Archives is about a ten minute walk from Lerwick town centre. From the town centre, walk toward the Viking Bus Station, where there is a roundabout. Turn right at the roundabout and the Museum and Archives is the first road on the left.
Arriving in Shetland by plane
Take the A970 North from Sumburgh Airport, following the signs for Lerwick. Once in Lerwick follow the signs for the Shetland Museum and Archives. This trip should take around 30 minutes.
Arriving in Shetland by ferry
The Shetland Museum and Archives is just one mile from the Holmsgarth Ferry Terminal. Take the road into town and turn left at the roundabout at the Viking Bus Station.
Local Public Transport
