This 18th century fishing böd, located on the outskirts of Lerwick, was the birthplace of Arthur Anderson, co-founder of Peninsular and Oriental Stream Navigation Co. - well known today as P&O.
The property is owned by Shetland Museum and Archives and is currently home to the Shetland Textile Working Museum. This is a fully accredited museum which runs exhibitions of work by Shetland's craftspeople. There are daily tours and staff on hand to answer questions.
The museum is open Tuesday to Saturday 12-4 between May and September.
